Psychotherapy

Dr. Jensen takes a very collaborative approach to psychotherapy. After a potential patient schedules an appointment, he meets with them for the initial intake assessment. This assessment takes about an hour and involves gathering background information as well as learning about current symptoms. He then works with the patient to prioritize treatment goals; these vary from person to person. Dr. Jensen offers psychotherapy to individuals 6 and above, families, and couples. Attention/impulsivity, depressed mood, anxiety, poor academic performance, marital conflict, and anger control are some of the most common symptoms that prompt patients to schedule with Dr. Jensen.

Psychological Evaluations

Dr. Jensen offers competitive rates for those seeking psychological evaluations. Evaluations consist of more than a diagnostic interview; they include face to face, on the computer, and paper and pencil testing to provide more information than an interview can. These are often done upon request of a physician, attorney, or referred from another therapist for diagnostic clarification.

Anger Management

Dr. Jensen offers anger management therapy as an alternative to prolonged anger management courses. Applicants must meet qualifications for this program.

Video Game and Media Overuse

Dr. Jensen offers a comprehensive program for adults and children whose gaming or media use is negatively affecting their lives. Dr. Jensen uses an original approach to help others find a better balance with media and video game use. This is a private-pay service and lasts from 8-10 sessions and requires heavy family involvement.
